Transforming Learning & Staff Environments at St Margaret’s School
Project Brief
The Perse School partnered with TaskSpace to reimagine key areas across its campus, creating modern, student-focused environments that reflect the school’s high academic standards and forward-thinking ethos. The works included upgrades to Sixth Form facilities, the redevelopment of science spaces, and the creation of flexible, multi-use areas that support independent study, collaboration, and community life. Each space was designed with a clear purpose but also with adaptability in mind, ensuring long-term value for the school.
Purpose
The school recognised that many existing facilities no longer met the expectations of students or the demands of modern teaching. Leadership set out a vision to create inspiring, high-quality environments that better prepare pupils for university and professional life. This meant moving away from traditional, outdated layouts and instead providing spaces that encourage independence, foster collaboration, and align with the culture of aspiration and innovation that defines The Perse.
Key Outcomes
The transformation has given the school a collection of standout facilities that elevate daily life for staff and students alike. Sixth Formers benefit from a professional-style hub that supports both focused study and group work, while science students enjoy laboratories designed for practical, hands-on learning. Beyond subject-specific improvements, the redesigned areas have strengthened the sense of community on campus, giving pupils spaces they want to use and feel proud of. The result is a cohesive, future-ready campus that enhances teaching, learning, and wellbeing.
