Project Brief

Manor Lodge School partnered with TaskSpace to modernise its library and a number of classrooms, ensuring these key learning spaces reflected the school’s forward-thinking ethos. The focus was on creating flexible, engaging environments that support a variety of teaching and learning styles.

Through bespoke furniture, considered layouts and purposeful design details, both the library and classrooms were refreshed to feel contemporary, welcoming and better aligned with how pupils learn today.

Purpose

While the existing spaces were functional, they no longer reflected the school’s ambition or the expectations of modern families. The aim was to create adaptable classrooms and a library environment that support evolving pedagogy, encourage independent study, and enhance the overall student experience.

It was equally important to provide staff with settings that allow greater flexibility in lesson delivery while reinforcing Manor Lodge’s position within a competitive independent sector.

Key Outcomes

The transformation has had a clear impact on daily school life. Pupils now benefit from classrooms designed for collaboration and focused learning, alongside a revitalised library that supports quiet study and research. Teachers have greater flexibility in how lessons are delivered.

The refreshed spaces present a strong first impression and confidently reflect the school’s values and future direction.
