Campus Transformation – Turning Vision into Reality
Project Brief
Crosfields School was embarking on its journey ‘to 16’, extending its prep provision through to GCSE. This wasn’t just an expansion — it required a complete rethink of the learning environment.
The project centred around a substantial new-build, with TaskSpace delivering the interior design and full FF&E package. With around 400 prep pupils now staying on for an additional two years, the school wanted spaces that felt more grown up and aspirational — bridging the gap between prep and senior school while supporting its expanding portfolio.
Purpose
Moving to GCSE meant creating an environment that reflected greater independence and maturity. The goal was to introduce a more senior feel — an exciting, aspirational ‘grown up’ space— while retaining the strong sense of community Crosfields is known for.
Learning spaces needed to be flexible and engaging, supporting collaboration as well as focused study. Social areas were equally important, giving pupils places to connect, recharge, and feel ownership of their surroundings.
Key Outcomes
The finished spaces feel confident, modern, and purposeful. Classrooms and breakout areas now support a wider range of teaching styles and learning approaches.
The environment aligns with the school’s ambitions, helping retain pupils, support a growing intake, and successfully deliver a senior school experience within the Crosfields setting.
