Hazchem Safety had outgrown their offices and the management team understood that the tight squeeze was having a detrimental effect on staff morale, productivity and overall output. The decision was taken to expand the office and to fit out the entire premises with brand new furniture and a design scheme that complements the Hazchem values, brand and culture.

With input from the client, TaskSpace developed a plan to turn part of the upstairs warehouse space into a new office and collaboration block, and convert the existing offices into a meeting and reception area. We also recommended an open plan office design with a flexible breakout area to encourage agile working.

We structured the office fit out in phases so the team could carry on working from the premises as the rollout progressed. By collaborating and communicating regularly, the disruption to the everyday running business was minimal, and as the team could see the new design coming to life as they worked, the excitement grew day by day.
