CASE STUDY

City of London School

The iconic City of London School, located in the shadow of St. Paul’s Cathedral, has its roots dating back to 1442 in the education of local boys, and was recently named the London Independent Secondary School of the year by the Sunday Times.

With several teaching spaces throughout the school in need of refurbishment, two rooms were identified with which to create a template of an inviting learning environment. Once determined, the design template would be used to deliver future refurbishments across the school.

The school identified a number of key points to make the design a success:

  • Practical student & teacher storage
  • Integrated collaboration/brainstorm areas
  • Extensive trialling of furniture to ensure it was fit for purpose

The school are delighted with the finished spaces and are now progressing with plans to roll out the blueprint throughout the school.
